SCHOOL EXCHANGE

For schoolheads, teachers and parents:

It is possible to organize any form of exchange between children from your school and children from the Trinity International School. For the children of your school it is a way to realize that going to school is not logical and that the schoolfacilities differ from place to place around the world. The children from the Trinity International School are eager to meet new friends from other countries. It is for both a way to gain a broader worldview and to investigate other perspectives. This is very instructive and joyful for all the children.

Trinity International school is a primary/elementary school with children in the range of 3-12 years. The children between 3-5 years age have classes in the nursery and kindergarten. These children are the youngest of the school and can be compared to an infant school where children learn to play together and discover the world around them in a playful way.

Class/grade 1 to 6, are ages between 6 to 12 years old. The major part of the Trinity International school consists of children within this age group. The children have classes from monday till friday and have two days off in the weekend.

The language of instruction at Ghanaian schools is English. This eases the exchange between children of yours and the children of the Trinity International school.

Possibilities for exhange:

- Penpals: The children from both schools can send letters to each other. Instead of letters it is also possible to exchange postcards, drawings or other artworks. These works or letters can be used by your school during projects.

- Language partners: As  Ghanaian children know the English language quite well, they can become language exchange partners. The children can exchange addresses to write letters.

- Music Exchange: The Ashanti Region is known for its music and dance. The Ghanaian music could be a medium to exchange ideas and values. Both your school and The Trinity International School could record self-made music or songs and exchange CD's. This is also an opportunity for fundraising.

- Real life exchange: This is a form of exchange in which the children of your school physically visit the Trinity International School in Ghana or vice versa.
