ABOUT

 

The Trinity International School is located in Kumasi, the second largest city of Ghana. Kumasi is part of the Ashanti region. The Trinity International School was the first private school in the Oduom community, a suburb of Kumasi. 



The school was established in 1993 by Mr. Anthony Adu-Gyamfi, the director who can be seen on the picture on the right. The school started with three teachers and fifteen kids, nine boys and six girls. These kids were placed in three classrooms. The reason to start the school was to provide quality and affordable primary school education for the children in the community. The school has educated hundreds of children since the establishment. These children are currently occupied as nurses, accountants, community workers, teachers, administrators or security officers, to mention a few.  

 

At the moment there are between 60 to 80 children in the school. They are divided over nursery classes, kindergarten classes and basic primary school classes from class one to six. The building of the school has eleven classrooms and six teachers. Some teachers are from the community, others are graduates from the university of Kumasi. Miss. Janet Yeboah, the wife of Mr. Anthony Adu-Gyamfi, is the co-director and helping hand at the school. The school also provides lunch at the schoolyard. The cook prepares daily fresh meals for the children and the teachers.
